GYNZ Delegation visit to Chinese National Cricket Team Training Base, Hangzhou

On 21st September, the delegation from the Global Youth New Zealand Charitable Trust visited the Chinese National Cricket Team Training Base in Hangzhou, Zhejiang upon request by the Multi-ball Games Administrative Centre of the General Administration of Sport of China (GASC).

Previously on 19th September, the delegation from the GYNZ visited the Multi-ball Games Administrative Centre at the GASC office in Beijing to further discuss the collaboration between the two parties in various areas, including development of young cricket talent, promotion of cricket, professional cricket training, sport clubs, tournament management and other relevant topics. All in support of the preparation of GASC for the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles, United States. During the visit at the China National Cricket Team Training Base in Hangzhou, the Chairman and Founder of GYNZ Brendan Revell, provided his experienced insight and recommendations on cricket pitch maintenance, equipment, training facilities, fitness coaching and player training. Mr. Revell also interacted with the players of the China National Cricket Preparation Team and communicated on further technical improvements.

About the General Administration of Sport of China

The General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) is the government agency responsible for sports in mainland China. It is subordinate to the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It also administers the All-China Sports Federation and Chinese Olympic Committee.

About the Multi-ball Games Administrative Centre of the GASC

The Multi-ball Games Administrative Centre is a directly affiliated institution of the General Administration of Sport of China. It is also the permanent office of the national single sport associations for eight sports, including golf, bowling, ground throwing, billiards, wicker ball, rugby, cricket and squash.
