On October 25, representatives of the Global Youth New Zealand Charitable Trust (GYNZ) visited two significant sites in Beijing: the Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration Zone and the Museum of Ancient Chinese Architecture.
In Zhongguancun — known as “China’s Silicon Valley” — we experienced firsthand the cutting-edge innovations driving China’s tech future, including breakthroughs in AI, green technology, and smart industries. This visit deepened our understanding of how modern innovation ecosystems support youth entrepreneurship and global collaboration. In contrast, our tour of the Museum of Ancient Chinese Architecture offered a serene and profound look into China’s architectural heritage and traditional craftsmanship. The juxtaposition of futuristic innovation with time-honored tradition highlighted the dynamic balance between modern progress and cultural preservation. This day was a journey through time — from China’s ancient ingenuity to its visionary future.
