The Global Youth New Zealand Charity supported the organisation of the China-New Zealand Friendly Exchange Event and Youth Art Gallery, attended by nearly 200 guests, on 15th December in Auckland, New Zealand.

China-New Zealand Friendly Exchange Event

The China-New Zealand Friendly Exchange Event, aiming to bridge and strengthen the cultural and economic exchange between the two countries, was inaugurated at Park Hyatt Auckland, attended by the official representatives from New Zealand and China, including Yunlong Gao, Chairman of the China Peace and Development Foundation, Wayne Brown, Mayor of Auckland, Xiaolong Wang, Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand, Simon Bridges, Chairman of the Auckland Business Chamber, George Shao, Official Representative of Papua New Guinea Ping Pong Association, and participants representing business associations, not-for-profit organisations, businesses, and other stakeholder groups.

The China-New Zealand Youth Art Gallery event was presented after the Friendly Exchange Event, moderated by Diana-Crystal Chen, Co-founder of the GYNZ, and Yuan Zong, Co-founder of the Auckland International Art Space, the Youth Art Gallery showcased the nature-themed artistic paintings by the youth painters from New Zealand and China to promote the public awareness of biodiversity and protection of endangered species, which needs the closer transnational cooperation and exchange. A cultural gift exchange session was held between the civil society delegates from New Zealand and China to showcase the long-lasting bilateral friendship and the desire for further collaboration in youth art and sport fields.
