On 19th July 2025, The volunteer team arrived early at the facility to light the fire for the traditional Māori earth oven (hāngī).
They systematically set up the underground stove, ignited the firewood, and completed the crucial initial fire-lighting preparations for the day-long hāngī public welfare meal. Through meticulous preparation, they ensured the smooth cooking of the traditional feast and, with hard work and dedication, supported the successful execution of this indigenous cultural public welfare event.
