On 14th April 2025, Under warm and bright sunshine, GYNZ partnered with Pohlen Hospital & Rest Home to host a heartwarming equine-assisted public welfare activity.

I Wish I Win and Pohlen Hospital Residents

We were honored to have the opportunity to invite New Zealand's most successful thoroughbred racehorse, I Wish I Win — valued at NZD $15 million — to the event. Special thanks to Waikato Stud for their generous support in lending this champion racehorse for the public welfare exhibition and visit. Volunteers, stable staff, and the elderly residents of the rest home gathered in the outdoor paddock area for a healing and joyful time together. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Residents in wheelchairs gently reached over the fences to stroke the racehorse and the miniature ponies, Boy and Tui, experiencing the soothing power of close contact with the horses — their faces lit up with smiles. GYNZ's junior volunteers stayed close by, chatting warmly with the elderly and sharing lighthearted stories, creating a heartwarming intergenerational scene. Everyone enjoyed easy interactions in the open, nature-filled environment, sharing laughter throughout a pleasant morning. At the conclusion of the event, the GYNZ team and the rest home exchanged well wishes and thoughtful gifts, offering care and comfort to the elderly through equine-assisted therapy and genuine companionship — bringing warmth to the local community through the power of public welfare.
